Carter Wolfe capped a stellar senior season by playing on top of his game in winning the 2025 VHSL Class 2A State Individual Golf Championship held on Tuesday, October 20, at Hobbs Hole Golf Course in Tappahannock, Virginia. His three-under par score of 68 was two shots better than Windsor’s duo of Rylin Szymanski and Kylar Holland who each fired a 70.
This victory was vindication.....
"It feels great to win it all,” Wolfe said. “I finished runner-up last year and lost by one shot. So, I knew the goal from the beginning of the season was to win it all.” Wolfe had four birdies and five pars in shooting a 32 on the final nine holes. “I knew it was my day when the back nine started,” Wolfe said. “I sort of caught fire and from there on, I just took it to the finish line. The biggest key to my round was I didn’t start out as well and made some good par saves to get the day going, which was big because it gave me a little more confidence.”
GREAT JOB CARTER! #REPRESENTTHECITY
